Karen is the clinic's sole physician. She spends her day in a cool-toned room, filled with volunteer medical help, and donated supplies. Lack of wellbeing education is a huge contributing factor to the cases that the clinic assists in. In this particular instance, Baby Noe is incredibly overweight for the tender age of 4 months old. Costa Rican babies often suffer from obesity because affordable milk is filled with sugars and lack many necessary nutrients. Mothers are also unfamiliar with how to breastfeed, which results in a slew of congestion issues for the growing children. FIMRC strives to not only serve their community, but also offer health education to incoming patients.
